Hello, my name is
Brian Monaccio.

I’m a self-taught Software Developer
and JavaScript specialist.

I work at The Wally Shop, an e-commerce startup company that offers a unique, closed-loop shopping experience. All Wally Shop products are purchased in bulk and packaged into resuable containers for purchase. Once finished with their goods, our customers send the empty packaging back to us to be cleaned, re-packed, and purchased again.

I lead our development efforts and I'm responsible for each stage of the product development lifecyle. I collaborate with product owners to gather business requirements, translate requirements into tangible designs, and write, ship, and maintain code. I also manage the technical needs of our marketing, operations, and retail departments.

My professional development experience ranges from data modeling to UI/UX design and development, but my favorite type of work lies somewhere in the middle. I enjoy modeling data and developing APIs and UI components that will consume data. In the immediate future, I'd like to have more opportunities to be involved with backend development, systems design, and scalable architechture. Later in my career, I'd like to progress to a senior development or lead position.
